The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Neurological Surgery, and WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute are recruiting a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) to join a comprehensive neurological based practice at Berkeley Medical Center in the eastern panhandle of WV. You will be joining a dedicated and collegial group of physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who have expertise in interventional pain management, neurosurgery and physiatry. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Martinsburg, WV.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia and Maryland. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible for West Virginia medical licensure. Candidates must be board eligible/certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Medicine. All qualifications must be met by time of appointment. The position will be primarily outpatient with an inpatient consultative service seeing various neurologic and orthopedic disorders. Expanding outpatient opportunities including spasticity management, prosthetics, ABI, and a comprehensive neuroscience center to manage various neuromuscular and neurologic disorders. Interest and experience in electrodiagnostic evaluations and ultrasound guided procedures is a plus.

The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, led by Dr. Ali Rezai, has expanded the departments of neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, and behavioral medicine and psychiatry, integrating multiple disciplines, and forming a team of specialists.
