We are actively looking for talented Software Engineer Summer Interns at SpiderRock Platform Services, LLC to participate in our 2023 Summer Internship Program. Our highly seasoned engineering team develops ultra low-latency trading platforms, risk management systems, and front-end trading interfaces for our institutional financial market clients. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to learn side-by-side with our seasoned engineers and work on projects that you may see implemented in our innovative institutional trading platform. Our Summer Intern Mentorship program consists of one-on-one learning sessions with our Senior Internship Program Leader. You will be able to take that knowledge learned, put it into practice, and have the opportunity to work in a couple of different teams. You will gain professional work experience and may potentially have the opportunity for full time employment upon graduation. We expect our interns to be active in their learning process, participate in their development, and contribute to our projects. This is an hourly position and will be reporting to our Senior Internship Program Leader.
What You Will Do:
- Learn and gain experience on a variety of Windows based C# technologies
- Participate in full stack application design and development
- Assist in debugging and analyzing our user APIs and interfaces (GUI, MySQL, REST API)
- Understand the financial markets and how that is essential to our business
- Work on Agile Scrum sessions while learning the Agile methodology
- Exposure to DevOps processes
- Work on Agile Scrum team and learn our Agile
- Work with DevOps, IT and client support teams to troubleshoot issues
- Deep dive learning sessions on the SpiderRock software philosophy
- Troubleshoot and resolution
- Collaborate using GIT track source code changes
What SpiderRock Is Looking For:
- Students that are pursuing on their bachelor's degree
- Studying Computer Science, Math, Data Science, or a related field
- Demonstrative experience in C#, Javascript, Java, R, Python
- Debugging and a passion for problem solving
- Excellent programming skills
- Strong work ethic and collaboration skills
- Professional, motivated attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills
