Provides cleaning and on-site maintenance for perfusion related equipment to ensure proper function and infection control standards are met and prioritized.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Completion of a perfusion equipment cleaning and / or maintenance training course.

2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. Graduate of an accredited perfusionist program or prior perfusion professional is strongly preferred

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Cleans, maintains, and ensures perfusion equipment in kept within operation compliance

2. Follows manufacturer and infection control standards for disinfecting perfusion equipment.

3. Cleans, disinfects, tests of perfusion equipment.

4. Conducts daily peroxide level testing

5. Completes bi weekly water exchange; Completes bi weekly disinfecting

6. Completes weekly cleaning procedure

7. Completes annual and semiannual disinfection procedures

8. Adheres and maintains infection control policy and procedure for perfusion equipment.

9. Keeps detailed records of procedures completed in accordance with all regulatory bodies.

10. Other duties as assigned.

1. Capable of prolonged periods of standing and walking.

2. Ability to lift up to 40-pounds and push/pull heavy carts

3. Possess visual, hearing, and oral acuity along with manual dexterity and technical ability.
