West Virginia University (WVU) is seeking a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor (non-tenure track) faculty member for the Medical Laboratory Science Program (MLS), Division of Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics, within the Department of Pathology, Anatomy, and Laboratory Medicine in the School of Medicine.

The Division consists of three NAACLS accredited programs; Medical Laboratory Science, Histotechnology, Pathologists' Assistant. The School of Medicine is part of a thriving academic medical center which also includes the Schools of Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health. Together, the five Schools provide robust opportunities and programs for interprofessional education, collaborative practice, and research.

The primary responsibility of this position is classroom and laboratory teaching within the MLS Program which offers both BS and MS degrees. This faculty member will primarily contribute to the teaching of clinical chemistry to undergraduate and graduate MLS students. Other responsibilities will include secondary teaching assignments, student advising and recruiting, and participation in the service and research missions of the School of Medicine.

Qualified applicants must possess a graduate degree (doctorate preferred) in MLS or a related discipline, have national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist) and possess clinical experience. Teaching experience is preferred.

The WVU Health Sciences Center includes the Schools of Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health and Nursing. Patient care facilities include a 575-bed teaching hospital, a Level I trauma center, and a 70-bed psychiatric hospital. Morgantown is within easy traveling distance of Washington, DC, to the east, Pittsburgh, PA, to the north, and Cleveland and Columbus, OH, to the northwest.
