Will be delegated the authority, responsibility and accountability to carry out the assigned duties. Expected to work independently, report to IT Site Manager and required to make decisions on a daily basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Evaluates, selects, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains data and voice cables, specifically Cat5, Cat6 and fiber.

2. Works on a computer-based work order system.

3. Installs all necessary wire management. Secures work order permits.

4. Follows proper Infection Control guidelines in work areas set by hospital's Infection Control Director.

5. Sets up tracking and labeling for the cable system and related devices.

6. Develop and maintain documentation related to all voice and data including wiring diagrams and locations.

7. Install voice and data cable non-disruptively, with little or no impact to the users.

8. Maintain appropriate sparing levels for supplies, equipment, etc.

9 . Remain current on data and voice communications related products.
