The Event Coordinator is responsible for the preparation, development and execution of programs, services, and a wide variety of events to meet the needs of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, organizational development, education, communications, or other relevant field.

EXPERIENCE:

1. One (1) year of event planning, education, or healthcare related office experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience managing project teams preferred

2. Experience presenting/educating preferred.

3. Graphic design and marketing experience preferred, to include website design and maintenance

4 Employee recognition experience preferred

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Plans event aspects, such as venue, logistics, catering, guest list, and decor.

2. Maintains a working relationship with vendors and venues.

3. Assists with maintaining event budgets and receipt coding.

4. Coordinates event entertainment, including music, performances, and guest speakers.

5. Attentive to the value of staying under budget while planning event specifications.

6. Manages and oversees events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, organizing vendors, and managing take-down.

7. Communicates with both the marketing team and the catering staff to plan appropriately for each event.

8. Anticipates and plans for possible different scenarios in every aspect of work.

9. Ensures compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.

10. Develops and coordinates the implementation of marketing and communication plans.

11. Responsible for the execution of development, design and application of programming.

12. Responsible for the development of communication and marketing materials for events and activities.

13. Designs and produces training program materials and provides support services for organizational wide, reward and recognition program.

14 Assists with identifying trends, best practices and responds accordingly.

15 Responsible for the development and maintenance of the program's website, communication and nomination process.

1. Must be able to carry and move heavy objects in excess of forty pounds (event materials, meeting room set-up, technology, etc.).

2. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

1. Travel within 10-20 mile radius frequently.

2. Requires various early morning, evening and weekend work.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Excellent time management and communication skills.

2. Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

3. Microsoft Office proficiency.

4. Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to support multiple projects and events simultaneously.

5. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in writing and orally.

6. A successful candidate will be extremely organized and be able to manage the logistics of multiple events simultaneously.
