  • In this position, you will acquire and/or hone your skills in team management, time management, customer communication, and in coordinating with US Government operations.

Typical Day:

Provide subject matter expertise and decision support for the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (DACID) Biometric Operations Department (BOD). Position will require coordination of operations, liaison, identity management, evaluation, biometric device familiarization, and understanding of biometric architecture and business processes with the biometric community across the DoD, DoD Partner Nations, Federal Law Enforcement, the IC, and the USG.

Tasks:

  • Provides review and advisement on the staffing of Joint Urgent Operational Needs Statements, Memorandum of Understandings, Memorandum of Agreements, and other pertinent documentation to support DACID BOD decisions relevant to recommendations to the Joint Staff and programmatic decisions on requested biometric needs.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and decision support for the DACID BOD.
  • Supports coordination and execution of operational-level biometrics and forensics forums, meetings, Video Tele-conferences (VTCs) and other administrative information exchanges.
  • Coordinates operations and provides identity management, including evaluation and training support.

  • Possesses an understanding of biometric architecture and business processes with the biometric community

  • Conduct fingerprint card scanning missions - convert paper copies of fingerprint cards to digital format that is tailored to work with the DoD Biometric Repository.

  • Conducts CONUS and OCONUS travel to support DACID BOD and partners.

  • Serves as a liaison between interagency partners for biometric sharing.
  • Develop and conduct briefings to support DACID BOD customer engagement effort.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 8 years' experience supporting the USG (civilian/contractor or military) or a related field.
  • Biometric experience preferred, not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • In an office location and during required CONUS and OCONUS travel, must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer and detail-oriented, possess good decision-making abilities, and be capable of working well both independently and as part of a group.
  • This position exists in a dynamic environment where deadlines are a constant reality. As such, the applicant should be willing to work the occasional longer day(s), as the need arises, to accomplish their tasks on time.

Travel:

  • This position will require CONUS and OCONUS travel to meet with DoD Biometric Community partners.
  • Travel requirement of up to 10% possible.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Passport required.

Physical Job Requirements

Some lifting (25 to 50 lbs) is required related to equipment required during travel and mission support.

Desired Qualification:

  • Military and biometrics experience is a plus.

Position Type/Shift Information:

  • Day Shift
  • 900 AM to 500 PM, Mon to Fri (Travel requirements may overlap weekends)

US Citizenship: US citizenship required.

Clearance: ability to obtain/maintain US Secret clearance required
