West Virginia University College of Law invites applications and nominations for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law to teach during the 2024-2025 academic year. Our curricular needs include: Business Organizations, Contracts, Evidence, Torts, and related elective courses. Candidates must be available to teach in-person.

This position is a nine-month visiting position, beginning in the Fall of 2024 with the possibility of one additional nine-month term. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching four courses: two courses during the fall semester and two courses the spring semester.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in legal education.
  • Evidence of significant practical experience in an area of curricular need.

Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
