We are currently hiring a Hard Coating Machine Operator (Production Worker)

Shift Available: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 4:00pm - 12:30am

Pay Rate: $16 per hour + 10% shift differential

What you'll do:

• Floats in the anti-reflective (AR) coating department to help at any station
• Communicates any operation, quality, or safety issues to management
• Verifies equipment is ready for operation before start of shift
• Handles flammable/corrosive materials daily
• Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris
• Use MR-III machine for backside coating lenses with primer coating
• Set up lenses into racks, feed racks into Hard Coat Dipping Machine
• Inspection, sorting, washing, and prepping lenses for AR coating
• Setting up lenses into domes, setting domes into AR machine
• Machine maintenance and cleaning of the interior and exterior machine parts

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in the Optical Industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses is desired
• Able to work overtime, Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays when needed
• Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Able and willing to work as a team
• Consistent attendance and punctuality
• Closed toe shoe required with heel support
• Good hand to eye coordination
• Must wear safety glasses, gloves and/or finger cuffs as required by the task
