We are seeking multiple Senior Process Engineers to join our world-class Manufacturing teams. Our Manufacturing Teams are a cross-disciplinary group of experts in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing. Together, we're responsible for designing, developing, and scaling cutting-edge battery assembly manufacturing processes for Form Energy's Iron-Air multi-day battery.

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and landing novel manufacturing processes for the core assembly technologies of Form Energy's battery technology, making significant contributions to the operational success of our Iron-Air Battery assembly processes as a whole. We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience developing new technologies from concept to scaled implementation, and a proactive, interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving. Your work will make a significant and daily impact on cutting-edge battery technology that will revolutionize the electric grid and bring major change to grid reliability and sustainability. This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Weirton, WV facility. Relocation assistance is available.

• Partner closely with our Manufacturing Equipment Team to design, build, install, and run processes on first-of-kind manufacturing equipment

• Prioritize safety across all aspects of manufacturing, ranging from process design to scaled manufacturing

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability, making a major impact on our battery technology by commissioning and owning novel processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Work with a diverse range of teams inside and outside the company to achieve major manufacturing milestones, such as launching revolutionary production methods and capabilities.

• Provide data-driven feedback to the Design team (DFM) to simplify manufacturing processes

• Develop novel test methods to evaluate products in real time during production.

• Mentor, guide, and support team members with your expertise and practical experience

• 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment, ideally in NPI or scale-up

• Hands on experience with medium to large equipment and desire to roll up your sleeves and fill the gaps where necessary

• Comfort using statistical methods to make process development decisions (using JMP or Minitab or equivalent)

• Experience owning manufacturing processes and showing accountability for their quality, throughput, yield, and overall success (Examples: joining processes for metal & plastics, leak testing, electrical testing, in-line quality checks)

• Experience authoring process, safety, and quality documentation for best-in-class practices

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Direct experience with batteries a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
