The Role
GovExec is seeking a Multimedia Producer in the DC-metro area who can regularly attend shoots in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. As a Multimedia Producer at GovExec, you'll be a key member of the TV Team tasked with crafting multimedia assets that create value for our B2G clients and elevate the GovExec TV brand. Core skill sets include video production, project management, and client relations.
Responsibilities
Video Production: Oversee the entire video production process, from pre-production to post-production. This includes conducting interviews, capturing footage, editing videos, adding graphics and animations, and ensuring high production quality standards. Collaborate with journalists and subject matter experts to identify engaging video topics and storytelling approaches.
Project Management: To ensure the successful execution of multimedia content initiatives, you'll be tasked with overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from conception to completion. This entails defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with GovExec's strategic goals. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams, set project timelines, and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and budgets. Your role involves creative asset quality assurance and continuous communication with stakeholders to provide regular updates on project progress.
Equipment and Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest multimedia production technologies, software, and equipment (especially Sony equipment and Adobe software). Maintain and operate multimedia production equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of production workflows.
Multimedia Strategy: Contribute to the development of a multimedia strategy that aligns with GovExec's editorial objectives and audience preferences. Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in multimedia storytelling, incorporating innovative techniques and technologies to enhance GovExec's multimedia offerings.
Content Production: Create compelling multimedia content, including videos, podcasts, infographics, interactive features, and other visual assets that align with GovExec's clients' needs and audience preferences. This involves conceptualizing, scripting, storyboarding, and producing multimedia materials to convey complex information in a clear and visually appealing manner.

The compensation for this role is $60,000 to $80,000 including bonus potential.
