Position SummaryThe Tech Ops Engineer operates the company's complex high traffic, loyalty platforms in multiple customer and internal environments. Plans, designs and implements plans and solutions for software installations and support into customer and internal environments.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for system performance; supports/troubleshoots network issues and coordinates installation of such items as software and database packages
Provides training and assists with proposal writing
Conducts project planning, vendor comparisons, and works on project implementation
Works with development teams to enhance and improve system operability
Conducts tests of network redundancy, resilience and failover of network elements to ensure up-time standards are fully achieved
May travel to customer sites to support Software installations and Go-Live efforts
Works with customers to resolve issues seen in their environments using SQL as a troubleshooting tool.
Qualifications
3-6 years supporting a large enterprise network
SQL Proficiency
Education:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field required
Previous experience in gaming preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Must have an excellent understanding of SQL database syntax and structure
Ability to create and maintain Visio and Excel Technical Documentation
Understanding of IP concepts including routing, sub-netting, and VLAN's
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requires excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL 20% - US AND INTERNATIONAL
