Overview

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a State Contracts Specialist in our Vienna, VA location! This Specialist will be responsible to develop and review statewide and national cooperative requests for proposals along with post award contract management. The ideal candidate will have outstanding analytical, customer service, organizational, and time management skills to discover complex issues and provide creative and practical solutions to problems.


Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in discussions with internal and external stakeholders to obtain full understanding of contract requirements.
  • Interface with cross-functional departments, including but not limited to: legal, credit, finance, service, direct sales, product marketing, risk management and contract administration.
  • Liaison with internal cross-functional departments including administration, credit, finance, HR, insurance, leasing, legal, marketing, risk management, and sales to assess risks and benefits.

  • Engage corporate legal counsel, internal and external financiers and sales in the review and approval of contract terms and conditions and pricing in order to conduct negotiations with State and National Chief Procurement Officials.

  • Regularly engage with stakeholders including All Covered, Mobotix, subcontractors, and Konica Minolta Finance Partners to manage bids and proactively resolve contract complications.
  • Recommend solutions in accordance with standard operational guidelines during the contract review and approval process.
  • Identify areas of business risk and escalate elements that deviate from established business strategies and policies.
  • Ensure document content integrity and version control is maintained throughout the contract negotiation, approval and execution process.
  • Assists Direct Sales and collaborates across the organization in the creation of amendments for existing agreements as needed.
  • Prepare contract documents for execution, including participating addenda, teaming agreements, and statements of work each year, and deliver to appropriate parties.
  • Provide cradle-to-grave support for Konica statewide, local, and national cooperative contracts.

  • Identify and escalate areas of opportunity and conduct a thorough risk gain analysis for opportunities that deviated from established business strategies and policies.

  • Devise and implement pricing and finance strategies and contractual modifications in accordance with standard operational guidelines and JSOX compliance during the RFP review, response and approval process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or related field and/or equivalent combination of education/work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years related experience, preferably in contract proposal, legal and/or leasing environment.
