Job Description
POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of Talent Development is responsible for providing leadership, expertise, and strategic direction throughout all of U.S. Venture on the company's talent development programs. This includes but is not limited to organizational development, leadership development, training program development and facilitation to address a wide variety of career growth, performance management, succession planning, and coaching and mentoring team members to prepare them for their next role.

  • Leverage technologies to enhance data capabilities around talent management processes. Includesmaximizing HCM capabilities andLMS selection, implementation and integration.

  • Facilitatetop talent calibration conversation with the SLT and develop executive level development training opportunities to ensure the SLT connects with top talent across divisions.

  • Lead efforts to enhance the organizational bench strength and retention of senior leaders and key talent through talent assessments, succession planningandIDPs.

  • Lead the talent development initiatives for our data transformation across the U.S. Venture organization.

  • Lead talentdevelopmentstrategies and projects across divisionsto support the business and people priorities. Thisincludesperformancemanagement,careerdevelopment,talentreview,successionplanning,talentslating,learning/development, DE&I,changemanagement/orgdesign,workforceplanning andleadershipdevelopment.

  • Lead theperformance managementprocess andsuccession strategiesto maximize success in filling future openings with an increased talent pool of promotableteam members

  • Identify, develop, and execute innovative training and development strategies to ensure the organization has the necessary skills and competencies to meet company businessgoals and strategic initiatives

  • Develop needs analysis to identify skill/competency gaps as a means of targeting potential candidates, as well as, guide in the development of necessary training,team membereducation, andteam memberdevelopment for individuals

  • Establish a company-wide career development/mentoring program to ensure the development of future leadership. Integrate with entire talent management process.

  • Lead external coaching initiatives for the organization. Assess, partner and select external coaches for key talent development.

  • Develop and automate the IDP process across the organization. For C-Suite succession candidate, ensure we have multi-year development plans to engage, retain and accelerate their growth and development

  • Motivate and lead a high-performing team; attract, recruit and retain key talent; provide mentoring, development opportunities, and succession planning as a cornerstone to career development.Provide and monitor talentdevelopmentbudgetary needs and subsequent expenses to ensure appropriatefunding while controlling costs

  • Build out our talent brand andcommunicationsto promote the US Venture Learning culture internally and externally

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources related field is required

  • A minimum of8 - 10years progressive experience inthe development and execution of a large-scale talent management program that includes, but is not limited toorganization design,assessment, performance management and, training and development function along with demonstrated experience and knowledge in human resources

  • Proven experience in a leadership role required

  • Must have experience in working with management to assess, identify and develop training and development initiatives, which align to company business goals and values

  • Possess excellent communication, including interpersonal, written, public speaking, and facilitation skills

  • Strong leadership skills required along with the ability to provide effective consultingto individuals and departments

  • Ability to challenge the thinking of business leaders and the HR community
